The work of Wilhelm Lehmbruck, one of the most prominent German sculptors of classic modern art, has gone on a search from neo Classicism and abstraction to an expressionist statement. The artist whose life topic was a human being and their soul and spirituality gradually in his works accentuated more and more towards existentialist topics, melancholy and introversion.
Retrospective exhibition in the Brno House of Arts will present sculptures, paintings, drawings, etchings, lithography and photographs from Lehmbruck’s museum in Duisburg and also several works from the artist’s estate.
