The ring was designed by Filip Streit for the Belda Factory. The artist came up with an inventive and original solution – the silver ring of the 925/1000 purity is inside covered with a layer of corian. Corian is an artificial stone with great physical qualities, amongst others, high resistance and the fact that it does not feel cold. The upper part of the stone bears a narrow groove which penetrates through the silver to the corian layer, forming a hole in it. Through the hole, the bearer’s skin is visible to the naked eye. The ring on display was classified as one of the hundred best designs created between 1900 and 2005.
