The statue of a snail is mounted on a round base. The naked elf’s right foot stands on the snail’s shell while his left one leans against the snail’s head and his hands are pulling the snail’s feelers. The porcelain statue is decorated in underglaze painting. The figure was designed for Rosenthal by Albert Caasman in 1921 as production item No. 602.
