Shanghai Biennale
The 7th art biennale in Shanghai is held from 9 September to 16 November 2008. This year, it will be participated by 61 artists and art groups from 21 countries. The subject of the biennale is the influence of urbanization on both social and economic life and the event at the same time focuses on the dynamics of the city space. The international team of curators, headed by Zhang Qing, includes group of artists, amongst them, for example, artist Mike Kelly. The exhibitors at the biennale are mainly Chinese artists, while Europe will be represented by Pawel Althamer from Poland and Roman Ondák from the Czech Republic. www.shanghaibiennale.org
