Igor Korpaczewski is a respected artist of the contemporary art scene. His paintings and installations influence the arriving generations of artists, he participates at prestigious exhibitions as well as other art projects. Presently, he is an assistant at the Academy of Arts in Prague. The current event is the most comprehensive display of the artist’s works from the recent twenty years, accompanied by examples of what influenced him. The aim of the program is not only presenting Korpaczewski’s oeuvre but also his stimuli, influences and inspirations. “Chair for a Guest” is planned as a free space for artists and mainly listeners who are interested to know more about work of various artists and are not afraid to ask. The discussion will be accompanied by visual documentation prepared by the artist himself. This is the first discussion from the planned cycle moderated by Ondřej Horák.
