The stylized rocky terrain shows the naked goddess of hunting, Diana, chasing her prey with the aid of two dogs. This piece was designed by Jan Lichtag, Professor of the State Technical School for Porcelain Industry, who also taught at the School of Applied Arts in Prague and in the French porcelain manufactory at Sèvres. This sculpture, of superb quality, was exhibited at the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts held in Paris in 1925.
