The rounded base, whose upper part represents an articulated grassy terrain, bears a couple of rather realistically executed guinea hens. The figure is made of porcelain painted under glazing. The sculpture on display, with the model number 205, was created by Ottmar Obermaier (1883–1958) in 1925 Ottmar Obermaier, who worked for Rosenthal between 1923 and 1935.
