Kateřina Smolíková | Metaphors of Time and Memory | 2007 | 50 x 40 cm | Object, Design | Glass | price: EUR 466Add to My CollectionAsk about this artifact |
Cast glass is unique due to its elementariness which captures the atmosphere of the moment when glass flows into the imprint of the relief, leaving its unrepeatable trace there. These are variations of memories of landscapes. Landscapes which, from time to time, surface from one’s memory as if from a fog. Memories whose outlines are only vague, dream-like and ungraspable in space and time. Glass – feels like light permeating things, making them translucent, and thus lending radiation to both small and big worlds. The principle of pellucid purity evokes something distant in time and ungraspable in the present. Free-standing object (installation on metal stands) , four panels. Price/1panel
