The series of Jitka Mikulicová, entitled “Portraits”, deals with the existential subject of death with bravura: the engraved gravestone features five young people including the artist herself in a laughing position that is reminiscent of the 1950s’ false enthusiasm. The engravings were created in a specialized center after Mikulicová’s drawings.
