Míla Preslová is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. Since the beginning, she has worked with the medium of photography dealing primarily with the intimate themes of personal identity in conceptual terms. She works particularly with her own body exposed to various tests but not in physical but rather psychological terms. Her photographic pictures almost unambiguously express a problem they address. The precise formulation of a vague experience, pain, joy or uncertainty makes Preslová one of the most interesting conceptual artists in the Czech Republic. Although she works with her own body, her art cannot be called feminine as her messages are more general. Since the second half of the 1990s, her artworks have been exhibited at all major thematic displays both in the Czech Republic and abroad.
